NATURE CONNECTION

Simone’s love for nature and the environment goes hand in hand with a strong sense of social involvement. She believes that by engaging with our natural environment we do not only increase our appreciation and protection of it, but we also increase our own well-being. After all, in nature we turn to our own nature. In her most recent project Chamonix Nature Connection, Simone assists others to (re)connect with nature and therefor to ourselves. She has completed a Master of science in Management at the Greenwich University in London and is currently following a three years course at the Institute for Practical Integral Psychology (ITIP) in the Netherlands.

ALPINE NATURALIST

In her work as an alpine naturalist Simone shares her knowledge and passion for Alpine flora and fauna, with both mountain professionals and nature enthusiasts, through a combination of online and in-person courses, to inspire a deeper understanding of the natural world surrounding us.

Simone studied Wildlife Management at the Van Hall Institute in the Netherlands, enjoyed a Master of Science at the Greenwich University in London and has completed a graduate course on Alpine Plant Life at the International Summer School of the University of Basel, Switzerland.

She is partly based in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (French Alps), the perfect setting for exploring and studying the natural history of mountain environments. One of her projects is Chamonix Nature Nerds which aims to increase the knowledge on alpine flora and fauna within the Chamonix valley.
